Getting in the mood for fall and all of its antics! Shakespeare’s Witches Song came to mind.  Time to pull out our cauldrons and brew some pumpkin juice, bake gingerbread men for the kiddies, spice some apple cider and pumpkin loaf.  The fragrances of fall baking is one of my favorites.  Please note the recipe below is NOT one of ours; LOL!  I did, however, try it once with disastrous result ! I don’t recommend it.

Double, double toil and trouble; 

Song of the Witches: fire burn and caldron bubble. 

Fillet of a fenny snake, 

In the caldron boil and bake; 

Eye of newt and toe of frog, 

Wool of bat and tongue of dog, 

Adder’s fork and blind-worm’s sting, 

Lizard’s leg and howlet’s wing, 

For a charm of powerful trouble, 

Like a hell-broth boil and bubble. 

Double, double toil and trouble; 

Fire burn and caldron bubble. 

Cool it with a baboon’s blood, 

Then the charm is firm and good.
