Ginger Herbed Sirloin 


  • 4 (8 Ounce) Beef Sirloin Steaks, At Least 3/4 Inch Thick

  • 4 Tablespoons Soy Sauce

  • 2 Teaspoon Ground Ginger

  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt

  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper

  • 2 Teaspoons Dried Basil

  • 1 Tablespoon Prepared Yellow Mustard

  • 2 Teaspoons Lemon Juice

  • 4 Tablespoons Water


  1. Preheat the oven’s broiler.

  2. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, ginger, salt, pepper, basil, mustard, water, and lemon juice until smooth. Place the steaks on a broiling pan, and pour 1/8 of the mixture over each one. Massage into the meat. Turn and place the remaining over the other side of the steaks.

  3. Broil the steaks for 5 minutes, then turn over and cook to your desired degree of doneness. About 8 minutes for medium rare, 12 for medium.
