You may have noticed that we are on our spring health kick this week. A healthy diva is a happy diva.
CCF Tea : Cumin + Coriander + Fennel
Cumin, coriander and fennel (CCF) are excellent to keep you warm throughout the day. They are used together in Ayurveda as one of the simplest and most famous formulas for detoxification, weight loss, constipation, and bloating. The CCF mix can also be used, in grain form or milled, to spice up your dishes for delicious results.
During preparation of the tea, you may drop grains directly in the boiling water, or if you have a tea pouch, you could even mill the spices into it.
Add to 1 litre of boiling water:
• 1/2 tsp. cumin
• 1/2 tsp. coriander
• 1/2 tsp. fennel
1. In a teapot or soup pot, boil all ingredients for 5 to 10 minutes according to personal taste.
2. Strain out the seeds, or even better, place in a tea thermos with built-in filter.
Drink with little sips throughout your day, 2 to 3 times per week.
Please Note: since CCF tea is diuretic, refrain from drinking before bedtime because it will encourage urination. Always consult your doctor or nurse practitioner if you are unsure.
