Diva Musing: Survival….

Surviving the Abyss

Knowing what I know about the rocky path I’ve had to walk, I’ve had many dark nights of the soul that have burnt me to ashes only to see me rise like a phoenix and try again. When I look a some people I ask myself if I knew them could I walk a mile or even a yard in their foot steps.

While life has kicked my backside often, I realize I’ve earned part of it by my on transgressions. When I feel like I’m drowning in a bottomless pit I know to keep treading and I’ll eventually come to the edge of freedom. The freedom that gives new breath to life. The freedom fought for by so many ancestors and warriors I can never thank in this lifetime. I know being able to fight and survive those places so dark I’ve had to spit in death’s eye. Then I breathe, because I can again, and I am grateful for the hundreds of miles I’ve walked in the abyss and survived. Namaste, The Queen Cronista
