White Beans and Pork


1 Teaspoon Olive Oil

1/4 Large Onion, Chopped

2 (15 Ounce) Can Great Northern Beans,

1 Cup Water

1 Ham Hock

1 Pinch Dried Oregano

1 Pinch Ground Cayenne Pepper To Taste

1 Pinch Kosher Salt To Taste

1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder

1 Pinch Ground Black Pepper To Taste


Step 1 Heat the oil in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in onion and cook until tender. Mix in beans and water. Season with oregano, cayenne pepper, garlic, salt, and black pepper. Continue cooking on low heat for 1 hour, stirring occasionally, until beans are heated through. Remove pork and Serve with Cornbread.
