Kentucky Derby In May has been a tradition since forever here in Kentucky. Brunswick Stew is a crowd pleaser with the street vendors. Here is one slow cooker version/recipe I hope you will enjoy.

Brunswick Stew:

Ingredients

1 Tablespoon Butter, Or As Needed

1 Large Onion, Chopped

2 (16.5 Ounce) Cans Cream-Style Corn

2 (14.5 Ounce) Cans Crushed Tomatoes

1 Bottle Barbeque Sauce

2 Cups Rotisserie Chicken Chunks

1 (10 Ounce) Can Pork In Barbeque Sauce

2 Pounds Stew Beef In Barbeque Sauce

2 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce

1 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper

1 Teaspoon Kosher Salt

2 Teaspoons Garlic Powder

2 Teaspoons Hot Sauce

Directions

Step 1 Melt butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Saute onion in melted butter until tender, 5 to 7 minutes.

Step 2 Stir sauteed onion, cream-style corn, crushed tomatoes, white chicken chunks, pork in barbeque sauce, beef in barbeque sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, salt, and hot sauce together in a slow cooker crock.

Step 3 Cook on High until hot, at least 4 hours. Serve with corn bread or garlic biscuits. Serves 8
