Apple Cobbler….Have it Your Way….
Apple Pecan Cobbler
Ingredients
4 Cups Thinly Sliced Apples
½ Cup White Sugar
½ Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
½ Cup Chopped Pecans
1 Cup All-Purpose Flour
1 Cup White Sugar
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
¼ Teaspoon Salt
1 Egg, Beaten
½ Cup Evaporated Milk
⅓ Cup Butter, Melted
¼ Cup Chopped Pecans
Directions
Step 1 Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Generously grease a 2-quart baking dish.
Step 2 Arrange apple slices in an even layer in the baking dish. In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon, and 1/2 cup pecans. Sprinkle mixture over apples.
Step 3 In a medium bowl, mix together flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl whisk together egg, evaporated milk, and melted butter. Pour milk mixture into flour mixture all at once, and stir until smooth. Pour mixture over apples, and sprinkle top with 1/4 cup pecans.
Step 4 Bake in the preheated oven for 55 minutes.
Mountain Apple Cobbler
Ingredients
2 (8 Ounce) Cans Refrigerated Crescent Rolls
2 Large Granny Smith Apples – Peeled, Cored, And Cut Into 8 Wedges Each
1 Cup Butter, Melted
1 ½ Cups White Sugar
1 Tablespoon Ground Cinnamon
1 (12 Fluid Ounce) Can Or Bottle Caffeinated Citrus-Flavored Soda (Such As Mountain Dew®)
Directions
Step 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
Step 2 Unroll the crescent roll dough, and separate the sheets into individual triangles. Roll each apple wedge into a triangle of dough, and place them into the baking dish, seam sides down.
Step 3 Mix the melted butter, sugar, and cinnamon in a bowl, and spoon evenly over the dough-wrapped apple slices. Pour the soda over the rolls.
Step 4 Bake in the preheated oven until the top is browned, the apples are cooked through, and the cobbler is bubbling, 45 to 50 minutes.
Apple Cinnamon Cobbler
Ingredients
6 Apples – Peeled, Cored And Sliced
1 Cup Water
2 Teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
2 Tablespoons Cornstarch
½ Cup Brown Sugar
1 ½ Cups Pastry Flour
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
¼ Cup Canola Oil
6 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
½ Cup Buttermilk
1 Cup Chopped Pecans
Directions
Step 1 Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
Step 2 In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the apples, water, cinnamon, cornstarch and sugar. Cook until apples are soft and mixture is thickened, about 10 minutes.
Step 3 Fold Pecans into apple mixture and Pour the apple mixture into a greased 9×13 casserole dish.
Step 4 Prepare biscuit dough by combining the pastry flour and baking powder. Add the oil and stir until well mixed. Add the sugar and buttermilk; stir with a fork until flour mixture is moist. Add additional milk if necessary.
Step 5 Drop biscuit dough by tablespoons on top of apples. Bake for 20 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown. Serve warm.
Apple Brown Betty
Ingredients
Filling:
1 (21 ounce) can apple pie filling
⅓ cup white sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (Optional)
Crust:
1 cup all-purpose flour
⅔ cup brown sugar
½ cup margarine
1 tablespoon baking powder
Directions
Step 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Step 2 Spread apple pie filling in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking pan. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on top.
Step 3 Mix flour, brown sugar, margarine, and baking powder in a large bowl to make a soft dough. Spoon dough over apple filling.
Step 4 Bake in the preheated oven until crust is golden, about 1 hour. Let cool for 15 minutes before cutting.
This Cobbler can be made according to the recipe below or substitute 5 cups of your favorite fruit or berries instead.
Fresh Anything Cobbler
Ingredients
1 Cup Sliced Fresh Peaches
¾ Cup Peeled, Cored And Sliced Apple
¾ Cup Peeled, Cored And Sliced Pear
½ Cup Blueberries
½ Cup Pitted And Sliced Cherries
½ Cup Pitted And Sliced Plums
1 Egg
¾ Cup White Sugar
¼ Cup Cream
1 Cup All-Purpose Flour
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
½ Teaspoon Kosher Salt
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
4 Tablespoons Butter, Melted
1 Cup Chopped Pecans (Optional)

Step 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 2 quart baking dish.
Step 2 Arrange the peaches, apple, pear, blueberries, cherries, and plums in the prepared baking dish. In a medium bowl, beat egg, sugar, and milk. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt; stir into the egg mixture. Stir in vanilla and melted butter. Fold in Chopped Pecans if using. Cover the fruit with the batter mixture.
Step 3 Bake 30 minutes in the preheated oven. Cobbler should be bubbly and lightly browned. Serve warm.
