Savory Chicken and Rice
Ingredients
1 (6.8 Ounce) Package Garlic/Herb-Style Rice Mix
2 Tablespoons Butter
2 Cups Hot Water
1 Can Mushroom Soup
3 Skinless, Boneless Chicken Breast Half’s – Cut Into Cubes
1 Bag Frozen Peas Thawed
Directions
Step 1 Brown the Chicken and mushrooms In a large skillet over medium heat. Add rice according to package directions, using the butter to brown the vermicelli and rice to a golden brown. Add the water, peas, mushroom soup and bring all to a boil. Cover skillet, reduce heat and let simmer for approximately 25 to 30 minutes, or until all liquid is absorbed. Serve with dinner salad, rolls and beverage. Serves 6
