Pork Chops and Gravy

Ingredients

4 (1 1/4 Inch Thick) Pork Chops

Kosher Salt And Pepper To Taste

1 Tablespoon Butter

¾ Cup Milk

½ Cup Water

1 (10.75 Ounce) Can Condensed Cream Of Mushroom Soup

1 Packet Dry Onion Soup Mix

1 Sm. Package Cremini Mushrooms Sliced

Directions

Step 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Step 2 Season pork chops with salt and pepper to taste. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium high heat. Saute the pork chops in the butter for about 5 minutes per side.

Step 3 In a separate medium bowl, combine the milk, water and soups. Fold in mushrooms. Place the pork chops in a 9×13 inch baking dish and pour the soup and mushroom mixture over the chops.

Step 4 Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 45 minutes. Serve with Mash Potatoes, Green Beans and Beverage. Serves 4

Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

2 Pounds Red Potatoes, Unpeeled

2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter, Or More To Taste

2 Tablespoons Half n Half, Or More To Taste

1 Pinch Celery Salt, Or More To Taste

Kosher Salt To Taste

Directions

Step 1 Cut potatoes into quarters and place into a pot. Cover with water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until tender and a fork slides easily into each potato, about 20 minutes. Drain.

Step 2 Mash potatoes. Add 2 tablespoon each butter and milk. Adjust the measurements if needed-if it’s dry, add more milk and if it’s not creamy enough, add more butter. Add celery salt and salt; continue to mash until there are no clumps of potato left and everything is thoroughly blended.

Green Beans

Ingredients

1 Pound Fresh Green Beans, Trimmed

1 Pinch Salt

4 Tablespoons Extra-Virgin Olive Oil

1 Medium Onion, Finely Diced

1 Shallot, Chopped

½ Teaspoon Garlic Salt

½ Teaspoon Soy Sauce

Salt And Ground Black Pepper To Taste

Directions

Step 1 Fill a stockpot with water and bring to a boil over high heat. Add green beans and 1 pinch salt; boil until tender, 5 to 10 minutes. Drain beans in a colander and rinse with cold water. Blot dry using paper towels.

Step 2 Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook and stir onion and shallot in the hot oil until tender and translucent, 5 to 7 minutes. Add green beans, garlic salt, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook and stir for 5 to 7 minutes more. Serve immediately.
