Filet Mignon with Balsamic Glaze

Preheat 400 Degree Oven

Ingredients

4 Filet Mignon Steaks; 2 Inches Thick

4 Tablespoons of Real Butter

½ Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper, Or To Taste

Kosher Salt To Taste

1 Cup Balsamic Vinegar

½ Cup Dry Red Wine

Directions

Step 1 Sprinkle both sides of steaks with pepper and salt.

Step 2 Heat a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add butter to melt then Sear steaks in the hot pan until browned, about 2 minutes per side.

Step 3 Reduce heat to medium-low, and pour in balsamic vinegar and red wine. Cover and cook in 400 Degree oven for 4 minutes. Flip steaks and baste with sauce; cover and cook for 2 minutes longer. Medium Rare.

Step 4 Remove steaks to two warmed plates. Spoon a tablespoon of glaze over each steak and serve immediately. Serve 4. Serve with Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Grilled Asparagus, Garlic Crostini, and Beverage.
