I often recommend lemonade as a beverage for certain flavor profiles, picnics and tea time. Here are a few recipes to play with.
Lemonade…Lets Pick Our Favorite….
Quick Lemonade
Ingredients
1 Cup Fresh Lemon Juice
2 Quarts Water
½ Cup White Sugar
Directions
Step 1 In a large pan, combine water and sugar. Heat until the sugar just melts. Remove from heat and pour in lemon juice. Mix well and chill in refrigerator before serving. Garnish with lemon, lime or orange slices.
Brazilian Lemonade
Ingredients
4 Limes
4 Cups Water
½ Cup White Sugar
3 Tablespoons Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 Cup Ice Cubes
Directions
Step 1 Wash limes thoroughly. Cut ends off and discard, then slice into about 8 pieces.
Step 2 Place limes, water, sugar, and sweetened condensed milk in a blender. Pulse 5 times. Strain mixture through a sieve into a large pitcher. Serve over ice.
Cucumber Lemonade
Ingredients
1 Cucumber, Thinly Sliced
1 (12 Ounce) Can Frozen Lemonade Concentrate
1 (2 Liter) Bottle Lemon-Lime Flavored Carbonated Beverage
Directions
Step 1 Place the cucumber slices into a large pitcher. Pour the lemonade concentrate over the cucumber and let stand for 10 minutes. Pour in the lemon-lime soda and pour into glasses to serve.
Hot Lemonade
Ingredients
3 Cups Boiling Water
3 Tablespoons Honey
1 Lemon, Juiced
3 Tablespoons Rum OR Rum Extract
Directions
Step 1 In a saucepan, bring water to a boil. Remove from heat, and stir in honey, lemon juice and rum.
