My favorite Indian Food Restaurant ever is in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I’d almost walk there just to have dinner today. But since it is 6 hour drive away I’m posting something we can all enjoy today.
Aloo Ki Khatti Tarkari Recipe
Ingredients:
Kosher Salt as need
4 Potatoes boiled & mashed roughly
4 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil or Mustard Oil
2 Teaspoons Cumin Powder
6 Dry Red Chilies
4 Green Chilies
1 Small Can Tomato Puree
Asafoetida { Hing } 2 Pinch (Optional)
1 Ginger 1″ Piece, Julienne
1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
2 Teaspoons Coriander Powder
Directions:
For Aloo Ki Khatti Tarkari heat Mustard Oil in a non stick pan. Add the Asafoetida, Cumin Powder & Turmeric Powder. Add the Ginger & Coriander Powder. Saute for a while then add the Potatoes & saute for 2 minutes. Add the Tomato Puree, Green Chilies & Salt. Cook 4-5 minutes ]till well cooked. Garnish the vegetable with dry Red Chilies. Eat or serve with Indian bread Naan.
